继续教育学院和高职教育学院是一个兼具教学与管理职能的办学实体，是我国西部地区最大的成人教育和继续教育基地。学院现开设30多个学历教育专业和20多个非学历教育培训项目。高职教育、函授教育、夜大学、成人脱产教育、培训等多样的办学形式，高职、高起本、专升本、硕士研究生教育等多层次办学格局，具有师范教育、教师教育和职业教育特色的职前职后一体化教育体系，吸引来自祖国各地和各行各业的莘莘学子。学院管理本部和部分专业的业余教学点设在风景优美、环境幽雅的陕西师范大学雁塔校区。成人脱产教学和高职教学场地位于毗邻古城的北校区。另外，50多个教学站点覆盖西北五省区和山东、山西、河南、湖北、湖南、深圳等省市。学院有专兼职教师538人，其中教授95人，副教授228人。近年学院科研成果突出，在权威、核心、重要等期刊发表论文300多篇，出版专著10余部，主持了国家教育科学十五规划重点课题，是西北唯一的成人教育学硕士学位授权单位，主办的《陕西师范大学继续教育学报》在全国成人教育学研究领域有广泛影响。

The Introduction to the Further Education College and the Higher Vocational Education College of the ShaanXi Normal University

　　The Further　Education　College and　the　Higher Vocational Education College of the ShaanXi Normal University form the largest adult education base in the Northwest of China, which functions not only in teaching but also in managing.　The　two　colleges now provide　more than 30 diploma-granted specialties and over 20　non-diploma-granted　training　courses.
With　various　educational　forms,　including　　vocational　　training,　correspondence education, the adult further education center now also provides learners with　education on different　levels:　postgraduate programmes and the programmes not only for the high school graduates but also for the students from vocational training schools and vocational training programmes.
　　This distinguishing feature of the education system, which contains normal education, teachers’ education and vocational education, has attracted thousands of learners from all parts of the country to come to our colleges to realize their dreams.
　　The administrative headquarters , as well as some of the sparetime teaching classes and lectures, is on the beautiful YanTa Campus of ShaanXi Normal University. And the full-time adult education section and the vocational training education section site in the north suburbs of Xian City, not far from the ancient city walls.
The adult education network with 50 teaching sites covers almost 5 provinces in the northwest, also some provinces as ShanDong, ShanXi, HeNan, HuBei, HuNan and ShenZhen city etc.
　　There are 538 full-time and part-time teachers working in the different departments of the college, 95 of them are professors, 228 assistant professors. In the resent years, they have published more than 300 academic theses in the important or authoritative periodicals and written or published more than 10 monographic books.
　 The Further Education College as well as the Higher Vocational Education College is the only institution in the Northwest which is authorized to grant Master' degree in Pedagogics and took charge of the priority researching task concerning the national education science study during the time of the tenth “Five Year Plan”; the journal run by the college has a wide-ranging influence in the field of adult education.
